It's Latin. A series of three life lessons, basically. Every post I make is a reminder to myself and others to stay strong, and become better.
Qui tacet consentit: "He who is silent is taken to agree." This is like something Confucius might say. I take it to mean that it is best to speak your mind, or else you will regret it. It is important to have the courage to speak or act when others do not. Courageous people like you have taught me that.
Quinon proficit deficit: "He who does not advance, goes backwards." Another good lesson I have learned from very skilled people like yourself. The best people are always improving. Artists, writers, scientists, programmers, it doesn't matter: if they are not improving all the time, then they are becoming less skilled, and losing ground to those who do.
and perhaps the most important:
Illegitimi non carborundum: "Don't let the bastards get you down." There will always be people who get in your way. They may have good reasons, or stupid reasons, or they may just be full of fear. You cannot let them stop you from becoming who you want to be, whatever their reasons. Fight on, keep your head up, and you will succeed.
